To reduce the possibility of name conflicts, we recommend the following steps when choosing a name: 1) Search for an available web site URL that will work for you, 2) Search the entire country using an internet phone directory, like www.whitepages.com, to see if other businesses are already using the name, 3) Conduct a Google type search for the name to see what is being used on the Internet, and 4) Search the database at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, www.uspto.gov, for a general idea of whether or not the name may already be registered. You may still find others with the same business name, but this process will reduce the chance of that happening
