John Power, founder of
Biltmore Franchise Consulting, has extensive experience developing
and marketing businesses and business opportunities. He has been in
and around franchising for over twenty
years.
In the late 1970’s he
developed, franchised, and sold retail consumer home video outlets
under the name of Superior
Electronics.
From 1980
through 1990 he conceptualized, organized, and developed the
American Video Association. He considered turning this into a
franchise organization, and thoroughly studied the possibility, but
ultimately elected to structure it as a privately owned buying group
supported by membership dues. He grew AVA to 2,000 national members,
before selling the company in 1990. It was later merged into another
home video marketing company.
From
2000 to 2005, due to the nationwide economic recession, he worked as
a contract marketing and human resources consultant to several local
and national companies.
In
2005 Mr. Power began working as a franchise development consultant
on a full-time basis.
Since that time he has helped nearly two dozen companies
initiate and develop their franchising program. He notes that franchising is
a very good way to expand regionally, nationally and
internationally, that there is interest in purchasing franchise
opportunities, and that there is a need for an economical franchise
development program. There are many companies whose owners are
interested in developing a franchise program, but who need
specialized assistance. He applies his experience and skills to help
new franchisors realize the accelerated growth and profitability
that is available through franchising.
Mr. Power owns and
manages a successful and rapidly growing franchise development
consulting firm, providing personalized service and attention to
each client. He has clients across the country, from Seattle to
Orlando, and in between.
He is a “hands-on”
franchise consultant, and does not merely coordinate the activities
of others; he is intensively involved in each franchise project that
he undertakes. He said, “I am the ‘nuts and bolts’ person who puts
this all together for my
clients.”
Mr. Power holds a B.S.
degree with a major in Marketing.
