The SBA Franchise Registry
Helping Franchisees Obtain an SBA Loan,
the Franchise Registry
You can potentially boost your franchise sales by becoming approved by the SBA. You may want to register your offering with the Franchise Registry, which is administered by FRANData.
Franchise Times reported: “Instead of someone in the SBA’s 69 local offices reading through the UFOC (FDD) each time a franchisee applies for a loan, the registry allows for a single reading, by franchise research firm FRANData, in Arlington, VA.
If the franchise documents meet SBA loan qualification criteria, the franchise is listed on a public Web site that all banks making SBA loans can access in seconds. The process costs $2,500, plus a $500 annual renewal fee.”
If you would like to apply to be listed in the Franchise Registry, we will be pleased to prepare and submit the application for you, at a small cost. We have successfully made several applications. Your only additional cost is the application fee. FRANData informed us that there are over 750 franchisors in the database, and that almost all franchisors are eventually approved after filing the application.
